I am very happy with this cooker. Use it once or twice a week for both meat and vegetable dishes and it has made life much easier. It does come with a few recipes, but I would suggest buying a separate slow cooker recipe book to really get the most out of it. It's very big and easily big enough for meals for 4 people with leftovers! Get one!

Have always used a slow cooker since buying my first in 1973 and wouldn't be without one. Whilst I was working I could always have a substantial meal cooking that I knew wouldn't spoil. Now I am retired and living in Spain, I prepare a dish, let it cook in the slow cooker outside and go to the beach!! It cooks the best and juiciest roast chicken and ham joint and is so easy to keep clean. Forget your halogen oven or pressure cooker!! This is clean cut, cheap to run and the pot is attractive enough to serve from at the table.

Hi I bought this so if we were at work we could put dinner on before we left but it is too quick and the dinner had dried out. Have bought a new one - good if you are going to be around but not if your going to work.

I agree with all the other users who gave low scores - this is not really a 'slow' cooker, as it cooks too hot. The lid also does not fit properly. In addition, the pot of my cooker cracked so that liquid ran through it within three months of using it, and I was only using it a couple of times a week. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt so I can't exchange it, but frankly I don't want another one - I'll be following the advice of others and buying a smaller one of a different brand.
